The Therapy Centre, established in 2017, offers Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services to students of Century Special Education Needs School and people with disabilities in the community.
Occupational Therapists empower people with physical, mental, cognitive, sensory-perceptual and psychosocial disabilities to become autonomous and improve upon their activities of daily living. Occupational therapists also assess and modify patient's home and community environments to improve their safety and independence. They also prescribe and educate patients and carers in the use of adaptive equipment to assist function.
Physiotherapist will help patients with physical difficulties resulting from illness, injury, disability or ageing to improve their movement. They will devise and review treatment using methods such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and electrotherapy. As well as treating patients, they also promote their health and wellbeing and provide advice on how to avoid injury and to manage long-term conditions.
