History
A survey carried out in 2002 in the suburbs of Port-Louis revealed that there were adolescents who failed CPE exams, and they were neither working nor pursuing school. Often these adolescents came from poor and broken families. They are very much prone to become victims of social evils such as juvenile delinquency... Thus, to empower these adolescents, the Century Welfare Association at Cité Martial opened the ‘Ecole d’Accompagnement’ in 2004 for girls between 13 to 16 years old.
